THE Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Kaduna has appointed Maj. Gen Bamidele Ogunkale as the new Director General for the nation’s premier arms manufacturing industry.

He replaces Brigadier General Dickson Ehiorobo, who was redeployed to the Nigerian Army College of Logistics (NACOL) Lagos, as Deputy Commandant.

Major-General Bamidele Ogunkale who hails from Ogun State, attended Methodist Primary School Yaba, Lagos, the Nigerian Military School, Zaria and the Nigerian Defence Academy as a member of 34th Regular Combatant course. He was commissioned into the Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers as a Second Lieutenant on 4, July 1986.

Since Commissioned into the Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers, the Senior Officer has meritoriously held general appointments, these includes staff officer and commanding officer appointments. He was the Registrar, Institute of Technology and Environmental Studies (NASME) Makurdi.
