EY Nigeria strengthens capacity, admits four new partners, ED

EY Nigeria, a global leader in Assurance, Tax, Transaction and Advisory services, has announced the admission of four Partners and an Executive Director (ED).

The newly admitted Partners are Esther Ajibola, Maureen Ogodo, Jamiu Olakisan and Omolola Alebiosu, all of the Assurance Service Line.

Meanwhile, Olayinka Situ is the newly appointed Executive Director in the Advisory Service line. They are among the admitted 267 new partners across EMEIA. The admissions took effect from July 1, 2015.

Speaking on the new appointees, EY West Africa, Managing Partner, Henry Egbiki, expressed delight about the development and formally congratulated them on the significant milestone in their careers.

Egbiki said: “This is a rare achievement and speaks to their unalloyed commitment, loyalty and dedication to firm. The promotion is in line with the firm’s Vision 2020 goals with a focus to build capacity across the spectrum of its services.”
 
Ajibola will play a key role in growing and strengthening the Assurance Oil & Gas clients, spanning upstream, downstream, midstream and oil field services of the Oil & Gas industry. She has managed the Global multinational and various Core accounts as well as strategic national accounts in Nigeria.
 
A graduate of Accounting, with a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos, Ajibola is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.     
 
Ogodo’s client portfolio includes multinational firms in the telecommunications and pharmaceutical industry.
Her strength lies in her ability to manage complex and large clients. A graduate of Accountancy from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, she is an Associate member of ICAN and has over 15 years-experience in audit and banking operations.
 
Olakisan is a pioneer team member of the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) and has spear-headed several IFRS engagements across different sectors in Nigeria.
A holder of a First Class degree in Applied Accounting, he is an Associate member of ICAN, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
 
Alebiosu has worked across all sectors of Assurance Service Line and currently plays a pivotal role in the Retail and Consumer Products Sector. She is a First Class graduate in Applied Accounting and a Fellow of ICAN.    She is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School Senior Management Programme.
 
Situ is the Performance Improvement leader for Advisory, West Africa. He has over 18 years of cross functional international business transformation experience and a track record of successfully initiating and delivering major global cross border transformation initiatives, covering customer and market strategy, organization design, finance transformation, supply chain, business process and IT.
 
Situ holds a Masters in Business Systems Analysis and Design from the City University, London, UK and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia, USA.
