Rullion Capacity Builders, a non-governmental organization (NGO) focused on empowering women and youths in skills acquisition and entrepreneurship has been granted national accreditation by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity as a trade testing center for vocational training.

Speaking at an event to mark the commencement of training for 2017 in Lagos, the CEO and Programme Director of Rullion Capacity Builders, Oluwatoyin Egedi said: “We are honoured to have been accredited by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity.

This is a great achievement for us that will no doubt impact our trainees positively as they can now embark on industrial training programmes in government institutions and reputable private organizations upon completion of their training here.”

She disclosed that the accreditation covers all the programmes offered the center, which include Cosmetology (Make up, gele tying and beauty therapy), catering and baking, beads accessories and clothing embellishment. Others are event decorations and management, photography and slippers and bag making.

Egedi said, “In the last three years we have trained more than 1000 women and youths. Majority are educated women who have been stopped from professional careers by the challenges of parenting. We tailored our programs according to what each individual’s family commitments allowed and we are proud to announce that many have gone on to build fledging businesses that allows them adequate time for the family with the skills they acquired here. We have had women come in from as far as Ghana and Cameroon to train with us and this excites us.”
