The competition produced Goodluck Aroloye from Testimony College, who emerged best and was rewarded with the sum of N300,000.

Similarly, Abdusalam Akapo from Triple Crown College came second with a prize sum of N200,000, while Jubilee Ogbeiye of Liberty College took third position with a prize sum of N150,000.

Speaking at the event, the co-founder of Animation Hub, Nigeria and USA, Adetunwase Adenle, premised the training on the need to prepare children for the future in line with the world that is going digital.

“This type of training is expensive as it requires a lot to make an animation.  It is like building an industry while our goal is all about the future of these children.

“The first edition of this animation training was in 2021 when we allowed 100 girls.  Since then, we have been thinking of its sustenance which led to the opening ceremony of this edition on June 28, 2024, where more than 1000 schools were trained, out of which 100 schools were selected for this pilot stage.

“The aim of the free online training with the support of AI is to encourage learning.  We want the government to assist us through getting school databases to curb our headache of reaching out to schools,” he said.
