The Ibadan Enterprise Forum (IEF) is set to begin identification of 150 budding entrepreneurs with a view to empowering them.

The IEF is a market link initiative and forum for entrepreneurs dedicated to advancing the entrepreneurial network by supporting entrepreneurs at all stages of growth and development.

The Project Coordinator of the forum, Mrs. Abiodun Adeleke, said the project’s objective is to bring entrepreneurs closer to facilities within the government, whose statutory responsibilities is to help grow SMEs, with a goal of fostering the generation with not less than 25, 000 jobs via SMEs in Oyo State within the next 12 months.

She said: “As a forum, we are committed to building a thriving and sustainable economy, driven by innovative local entrepreneurs through quality and innovative ideas that will contribute to the reduction of unemployment and increase the nation’s sources of revenue through relevant, timely, and targeted support for start-up businesses to create quality and innovative ideas.

“We are all about entrepreneurs; we support them, taking all the risks in pursuit of their dreams. Their business is our business, and it is our role to provide the right resources to help them grow responsibly and create a lasting impact on the economy. In this regard, we aim at showcasing 150 entrepreneurs in an exhibition cum town-hall meeting meant for business owners to showcase their business products.
