A Non-Governmental organization, the League of National Patriots has called on Nigerians to support the anti- graft crusade of President Mohammadu Buhari, saying that doing so would ensure success of the exercise.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the group noted that given the unprecedented results the exercise has so far achieved as seen in the various revelations on how money meant for the purchase of arms was dispensed, Nigerians would be the greatest beneficiaries if they cooperate with government in exposing corrupt practices.

The statement, which was signed by Mallam Abdulkareem Ikharo noted that, “indications have clearly shown that the present administration means well and has good intention in its pledge and promise to meet the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians especially the masses. Nigerians hoping and yearning for a positive change in the country must be ready to sacrifice, be patient and ultimately support the policies of this administration, especially the fight against corruption which will ultimately usher in the change that Nigerians desire”.

Speaking on the 2016 budgetary estimates submitted to the National Assembly by the President, the group expressed optimism that if properly implemented, it was capable of kick starting the economy and creating jobs for Nigerians.
