The governor, earlier said the civil service forms a critical part of the state government, hence the importance of prioritising the welfare of civil servants.
According to the Head of Service, the governor has made the welfare of civil servants the utmost priority, describing the gifting of SUV cars to Permanent Secretaries in the state to ease their transportation problems and further motivate them to achieve higher productivity.
Essien stressed that 150 junior workers in the state are proud owners of two-bedroom flats, given to them free by the Governor at the ultra-modern Grace Estate, Uyo.
