The Lagos State Government has charged workers under its employ to key into the vision of the current administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode through efficient and effective service delivery to the people.

Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pension, Dr. Akintola Oke said this yesterday at the opening ceremony of a three-day training programme for 90 government workers held at the Public Service Staff Development Centre, PSSDC at Magodo, Lagos.

The Commissioner said the vision of the Ambode administration was to build a virile civil service that would deliver effective and efficient to the public, saying that civil servants must key into this vision in order to bring it to reality.

Oke, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Establishments and Training, Mrs Folashade Ogunnaike stated that the need to actualize the administration’s vision was the reason series of development training was being organized for civil servants to equip them for the accomplishment of the vision.

According to him, “Ambode has given training of staff the much desired impetus with his high commitment of fund and necessary support at ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.

“Officers are expected to key into the vision of the governor by leveraging on the available training programmes which had been specifically packaged to meet the identified gaps in the system. Efforts were dispensed at ensuring that the best of training consultants available in the land were invited, interviewed and engaged for all the programmes so scheduled for the 2016 training,” he said.

The commissioner added that the training was aimed at creating positive attitude, knowledge and skills in individual staff towards maximum output.
