He is expected to coordinate the activities of the service in Lagos, Ogun and the border patrol elements.
Until his appointment as the zonal coordinator, Maza had serve in Human Resources Management Directorate at the NIS headquarters, Abuja where he was promoted to the rank of ACG.

Mazahas accomplished so much in his many years of service to fatherland. As a Deputy Comptroller of NIS, the officer served as the Unit Head of the ECOWAS/African Affairs of the Lagos State Command of the NIS.

He also worked at very strategic Border posts in the Northern parts of the country, including Gamboru Control post, all located in Bornu State.

In Adamawa State, Maza was in charge of Belel Control post, Sahuda Control post and subsequently became the Commandant of the Border patrol Command.

He is a graduate of Political Science from the famous Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He hails from Koton Karfe in Kogi State. The officer is married with children.
