The President of the National Union of Food, Beverages and Tobacco Employers (NUFBTE), Garba Ibrahim, has received the African Leader of Integrity Merit Award.
He was honoured in Accra Ghana, by the African Leadership Development Network, in recognition of his excellent leadership in trade union and industrial relations towards the development of Nigeria, the African continent and globally.
Receiving the award, the NUFBTE chief, commended the organisers, saying he felt elated to have been selected among other labour leaders in Nigeria.
He stressed that the gesture would further spur him to ensure that issues on industrial relations are given pride of place.
Meanwhile, the NUFBTE family, while felicitating with their president, said the award was a glaring and impeccable recognition of his track record of hardwork, selfless service and immeasurable contributions to the labour movement and humanity at large.
