Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and Executive Director of Reputation Poll International (RPI), Dr. Tonye Rex Idaminabo, has been celebrated in Aberdeen following the launch of his new book, Brand Elixir. The publication, described as a “page-turner,” offers a thematic exploration of building reputable brands within the African context.
The recognition by the President of the Junior Chamber International (JCI), Aberdeen in Scotland, follows the launch of the book earlier in the week.
Dr. Idaminabo revealed that Brand Elixir is the culmination of over six years of dedicated research and insight. He stated the book is designed to serve as a comprehensive guide for entrepreneurs, visionaries, and change-makers aspiring to cultivate successful and impactful African brands.
Known for his significant contributions through initiatives such as the Global Reputation Forum (GRF), Reputation Poll International, and the African Achievers Awards, Dr. Idaminabo, a Forbes “40 Under 40” recipient, emphasised the book’s broader vision.
“This book is more than just words on a page,” he remarked. “It’s a blueprint for building African brands that lead with purpose, earn trust, and leave a lasting legacy. Let’s build brands that speak louder, stand taller, and endure longer.”
He also extended his gratitude to former Mauritian President, Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, for her endorsement and for penning the book’s foreword, acknowledging her belief in the project from its inception.
President of the JCI Aberdeen, Dapo Richards, and a product management specialist, lauded Brand Elixir as an “enlightenment call.”
Richards highlighted the book’s relevance for visionary individuals and innovative Africans, urging them to embrace leadership and dynamism in addressing the multifaceted challenges confronting societies, including African economies.
Richards further noted that the philosophical underpinnings of Brand Elixir align seamlessly with JCI’s core mission of fostering an environment conducive to personal development and community engagement.
He stressed the importance of young people expanding their networks, engaging with communities, refining their business acumen, and ultimately making a tangible impact on society.
