After months of intensive planning and brainstorming sessions, organisers are set for the return of Bowler Hats Bash (BHB), an evening of undiluted comedy, music, dance and more.

Billed for Saturday, October 1, at the Coliseum Events Centre, Ikeja, Lagos, the event will host notable entertainers, celebrities and distinguished guests, who have been invited for the gig.

Organised by Daylight, an online newspaper, this year’s outing will open with a special green carpet reception at 4pm, as part of the activities to celebrate the country’s Independence Day.

According to the publisher and founder of the event, Azuh Amatus, this year’s BHB is set aside to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day, which is October 1.

“We have decided to hold the 2016 Bowler Hats Bash on October 1, which we all know is Nigeria’s 56th Independence Day. We are very proud and happy to add BHB to the rare list of events already lined up for the special day. As a proud and patriotic Nigerian brand, BHB is our own special way of celebrating Nigeria with Nigerians on her ‘birthday,’” he said.

Azuh, the former editor of Entertainment Express, said, “it is definitely going to be an unforgettable evening of explosive comedy, hot music, electrifying dance moves and much more for upscale, urbane and upwardly mobile revelers looking for premium events to grace on October 1.

“We are ready and prepared to give Nigerians an exhilarating and fun-filled Independence Day celebrations with Bowler Hats Bash,” he said.

On the dress code for the spectacular soiree, he urged all those seeking to attend the event, to start placing orders, buy their hats now, “because in the next couple of weeks, there surely would be scarcity of hats in Lagos and its environs,” he said.
