Expert extols MUSON for Nigeria art music growth
Music expert and President, Fellowship of Organists, Babatunde Oluwaseyi Shosanya, has commended the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) School for the growth of art music in the country.
Shosanya, a versatile organist, who is also a music educator, said he had to commend the school because its contributions to Nigeria through art music cannot just be quantified.
“When I think of what MUSON School of Music has done for Nigeria, I’m inspired. Through it, music is growing well in the country as its products are everywhere guiding and tutoring people on how to make the right music technically.
“MUSON graduates are leaders in every facet of the music sector. They’re highly sought after as school teachers, church singers and instrumentalists, entrepreneurs, choirmasters not just in Nigeria but worldwide,” he said.
Concluding, he said, “I just want to encourage MUSON to keep up the good work. Without MUSON, the Nigerian music industry wouldn’t be what it is now and when I think of MTN’s partnership with MUSON, which is helping to produce more and more trained and sound musicians, I’m excited at the future of Nigeria, musically and artistically.”
