Foundation Celebrates Anniversary With Art Exhibition, Music, Dance

To highlight its dedication to creating an enabling environment for young people in the last 12 years of existence, the Ovie Brume Foundation celebrated the life of Oviehire Adeyemi Kesiena Brume with an evening of art, music and dance at the Ovie Brume Foundation Youth Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

To highlight its dedication to creating an enabling environment for young people in the last 12 years of existence, the Ovie Brume Foundation celebrated the life of Oviehire Adeyemi Kesiena Brume with an evening of art, music and dance at the Ovie Brume Foundation Youth Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event showcased the significant milestones and current programs in the foundation and also served as a close out for year 2015.

The anniversary, which also doubled as a carol, in a convivial environment, featured dance, art exhibition, music and awards presentation. Special guests from different companies, sponsors, alumnus and beneficiaries were in attendance.

The founder of the foundation, Mrs. Evelyn Oputu, in her speech, highlighted some of the challenges the foundation has faced and expressed her gratitude to her friends, family and sponsors for their encouragement and support. She also explored some new ideas for the coming year.

Speaking at the event, Executive Director of the foundation, Mrs Iwalola Akin-Jimoh said “With every year that passes comes challenges for young people; educational and livelihood just to mention a few. Every challenge requires carefully teased out solutions, which are driven by impetuses and goaded by goals, objectives and actions. This is what the foundation stands for. The Foundation’s vision is a society where everyone is educated and empowered.”

One of the foundation’s beneficiaries, Anu Akande said she was so happy to be part of the end the year with the foundation.
