IO Entertainments, a cultural and entertainment company, has announced its upcoming program designed to celebrate African traditions and showcase innovative artistry.
According to the event producer, Oluwasayo Adeniji, the highly anticipated event titled “Dotti the Deity: HandWritings – A Concert of Stories and Folk Music” promises an unforgettable experience.
This one-of-a-kind event will spotlight the rich tapestry of Nigerian folklore and the captivating artistry of Dotti the Deity, a renowned folk musician celebrated for blending haunting melodies with compelling narratives.
“Stories and music are at the heart of our identity. This event celebrates who we are and the boundless creativity that comes from our roots. Dotti the Deity is a true embodiment of this spirit,” Adeniji said.
Scheduled for December 13, 2024, the programme includes: HandWritings with Dotti: A showcase of original songs inspired by Nigerian love stories, myths, and contemporary themes, brought to life through Dotti’s unique artistry; Stories That Bind: Immersive narratives celebrating the beauty of cultural heritage, evoking nostalgia and pride and Cultural Connection: An evening designed to bridge generational gaps, uniting audiences through the shared power of music and storytelling.
Executive producer Adedeji Babafunminiyi emphasized that tickets are now available for purchase online at ioents.com or at designated outlets. Early reservations are encouraged as seating is limited. Tickets will also be sold at the venue at an additional cost.
