Nigerian movie producer Joy Grant-Ekong with Nigerian comedian Ayodeji Richard Makun, also known by his stage name A.Y and others clinched different awards at the just concluded Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) awards.

The award ceremony took place on Saturday 29th October 2022 in Toronto, Ontario Canada, with lots of other actors and creatives from different perspectives.

Joy Grant-Ekong won the Best First feature international category with her drama comedy movie titled “HELL RIDE”(soon to be launched on Netflix)

AY was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award alongside Titi Kuti, a Nigerian actor, film producer, model, and television host and others.

Other Nigerian actors and creatives also cart away with various awards.

The Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival is more than just an annual event where movies are exhibited; it also features other artistic initiatives like the (TINFF Media Arts), a festival component devoted to bringing together individuals working in the field of creative media arts.

While always expanding and reshaping African the film industry, Joy Grant-Ekong pushes out daring and ambitious ideas and fresh storylines.
