A rising Nigerian brand influencer, Amarachi Amusi, popularly known as Ashmusy, has described the social media as another world where one can even dwell in as a playground.

Ashmusy, who is currently making waves on Instagram, projecting many of its advantages to her youthful audience, you always need to start small.

She said, though “I might have a large audience on Instagram, might be famous now but it wasn’t always like that.

She picked her interest in social media from influences received growing up in a loving family.

Amarachi who is the first child of a humble family, said she grew up from the rough streets of Gbagada, Lagos State while living in a ‘face me I face you’ compound.

She said her parents singlehandedly trained her and her siblings to the best schools around, they made sure they had a good life and lacked nothing essential.

“I remember how my mum brought us up, with so much aplomb, she never made us feel poor. It was natural, the environment we grew up in was the normal Ghetto, I still recall bathing naked outside, fighting while we went to fetch water like 10 streets away from our home, my childhood was simply fun,” Amarachi said.

In all aspects of her life, Amarachi only recalls the good time, reliving the best moments of her life during the interview, she gave gratitude to God for his kindness and favour which has brought her thus far.

Speaking on how her family and friends reacted to her choice of career and if she was supported, Amarachi explained she had never been one to depend on people or need support, however, her family supported her emotionally and morally so did her friends. Her family would often remain mute at home when she is recording her videos and that helped her concentrate.

Speaking on her role models who inspired her, she listed the prominent Laura Ikeji, the fashion and entertainment blogger also the sister of Linda Ikeji, arguably Nigeria biggest blogger. She also enlisted Mrs Doris Wanneka a hair tycoon and fashionista as one of her role models and powerful women that inspired “Amarachi Ashmusy” brand.

With the current demand for brand influencers, social media involvement in the development of the economy, Amarachi, believed she has projected herself to only become better and a household name and most likely a role model to other aspiring female brand influencers.
