Mojo-Eyes said Africa Celebrates is aimed to celebrate Africa’s unity in diversity, foster integration through the continent’s rich cultural heritage, which can be explored as a catalyst for socio-economic growth, promote intra and inter-African trade and tourism, as well as encourage Africans and the rest of world to patronise “Made-in-Africa” goods by eating African foods, wearing African clothes, appreciating African music, dance, and performances.

The African fashion ambassador added that the event, which will be declared open on October 19 following, which Africa Talks Business and Investment Forum will take place, “is organised to discuss the agenda that will help to accelerate trade and investment activities for individuals, governments and private organisations on the continent.

He continued: “It will culminate into the signing of MoUs for bilateral and multilateral trade and investment deals, which will be intercontinental and intracontinental in nature.

Mojo-Eyes also informs that Africa Fashion Business Summit will take place on October 20, where fashion entrepreneurs from across the continent will discuss the business of fashion and its value chain with the theme: “Promoting manufacturing in Africa as a tool for job creation.”

The performances of dance and music from the various participating countries will take place on the evening of October 20th. “Participants will also be treated to the various cuisines of the participating African countries,” he added.

He said: “Also on the same evening, there will be cultural performances of African dance and music. Guests will be treated to cuisines from different participating African countries.”

He stated that the event will hold on October 21 with a gala fashion event, which is the 7th edition of Africa Fashion Reception, adding that “Fashion designers from all over Africa will showcase their rich dress culture during this gala fashion event.”

Mojo-Eyes said: “Africa Celebrates recognises our success stories in arts, culture, heritage, and business. It celebrates all aspects of Africa’s successes. This is the biggest cultural festival in Africa. Last year, we welcomed participants from 30 African countries and 11 countries outside the continent. This year, we are expecting the involvement of more countries.

As part of the package, participants will enjoy a tour of the beautiful city of Addis Ababa. They will also enjoy the local cuisine and entertainment of Ethiopia.”
