Fast-rising Nigerian artiste, Kolawole Ojeleke Olayinka, popularly known as Zion Century, has dropped his debut extended play (EP) titled “Back II Sender“.

The EP comes on the heels of Zion Century’s ‘Party Hard’ single which has been rocking the music industry since January 7, 2022.

In Back II Sender, Zion Century teams up with his record label – Zion Century Record – superstars Jaykey, Otops, and a guest feature from Afrobeat veteran – “Fuzeejasmine”.

Back II Sender features three tracks and the four artistes deliver smooth lyrics and banging beats that are destined to get fans grooving and set clubs on fire.

The three tracks are ‘Higher’ (Zion Century Ft. Jaykey), ‘Angela’ (Zion Century Ft. Jaykey, Fuzeejasmine & Otopsliwizy) and ‘Ori Ire’ (Zion Century Ft. Jaykey).

In ‘Higher’ Zion Century and Jaykey start the jam with a soothing melody blended with a vocal reverb while slowly transitioning into a banging and an enjoyable afro track.

The song “Angela” catapults the soul with a powerful rhythm (coupled with superb lyrics) that excites the ears and gets bodies moving with the flow.

“Ori Ire” meaning “Good luck” in Yoruba, is an inspirational song that draws deeply from the rich Yoruba metaphysical concept. The lyrics are not only emotional but also motivating.

Like the other two songs, Ori Ire does not disappoint and fans of Afro-beats can listen to it all day without getting bored.

Born in the world-famous Makoko settlement, off the coast of mainland Lagos, Zion Century grew up listening to music in church with his parents.

Spurred on by his mum’s love, he rose above the challenges in the ghetto to become a South Africa-trained musicologist, music producer, artiste manager and now, hip-hop artiste.

Zion Century used to own a studio in Cape Town South Africa, where he produced and mastered many songs for well-known and upcoming artistes.

When he returned to Nigeria in 2012, he registered his label ‘Zion Century Records Limited’ and started as artiste manager and showbiz organiser.
In Nigeria, Zion Century has worked with many artistes, including Zlanta Ibile, Dremo, Ichaba and Wale Turner.
