
The Nigerian government has announced that over 15 leading aircraft manufacturers are set to participate in the Nigeria International Airshow in April 2025.
Scheduled to take place in Lagos, the three-day event aims to showcase advancements in aviation technology, safety, and innovation. Themed “Redefining Aviation Industry through Investments and Global Engagements,” the airshow will feature exhibitions of cutting-edge aircraft technologies, including demonstrations from top manufacturers.
Aviation and Aerospace Development Minister, Festus Keyamo, said that the airshow is a key event that aligns with global and continental aviation initiatives, including those from IATA, ICAO, and AFCAC.
He described it as a critical platform for promoting investment, innovation, and connectivity within Africa’s aviation sector.
“The Nigeria International Airshow (NIA) is an amalgamated marketplace for Aviation and aerospace development in Africa.
“NIA, a foremost event in Nigeria, is in alignment with continental and global initiatives such as IATA, ICAO, AfBAA, AFCAC and CAA.
“It aims to be the leading aviation event in the region that facilitates awareness, innovation, opportunities and investments in the industry.
“It is the facilitator for integration and connectivity of the economic growth and development in the aviation and aerospace market in the region, “ he said.
Bria Okonkwo, CEO of Air Show International Nigeria, added that the event will offer features such as aircraft displays, a full airshow, B2B matchmaking, industry awards, and panel discussions.
Expected sectors will include avionics, air traffic management, drone technology, and advanced aerial mobility. The event anticipates around 3,500 attendees, with displays from 50 aircraft, 190 decision-makers, and 200 investors, providing a dynamic marketplace for the continent’s aviation and aerospace development.
