He added that the programme would be the first of its type in the aviation industry, stating that subsequent editions of the event would be held annually in other countries, stressing that it should be noted that in 2013 a similar event airport show in Dubai, the United Arab Emirate (UAE) featured airports and focused exhibition only.
His words:”Over 6,581 Aviation professionals were sourced and brought together, their products created over $20 billion worth of regional business networking opportunities. “We hope it would attract over 30,000 to 40,000 aviation professionals and stakeholders across the globe . We believe that this will be a big turnaround in the aviation industry and the economy of the great country as well as making Nigeria the hub of aviation in Africa.
“Aviation operators will be drawn from various countries. The programme will reshape the global aviation experience and will boost the image of the aviation industry and the economy in the country which the ministry of aviation has already repositioned in line with President Goodluck Jonathan on-going transformation agenda.”
