Managing Director and CEO of Bank of Industry (BOI), Dr Olasupo Olusi, has commended ThisDay for conferring on the bank “Transaction of the Year Award” at its 30th Commemoration Awards organised to honour institutions and individuals.

Receiving the award in Lagos, Olusi expressed gratitude to ThisDay’s publisher, Nduka Obaigbena, and the newspaper’s management for recognising the efforts of those driving development financing in Nigeria.

The award coincides with the BoI’s recent landmark syndication of €1.879 billion for lending to micro and small-scale enterprises (MSMEs). Olusi said the milestone fundraising by the BoI represented the largest ever raised by an African development finance institution, saying it shows growing investor’s confidence in Nigeria and the bank.

“We are very proud because we are positioned to support enterprise development in the country.
