Stanbic IBTC Pension hunts for talents among youths

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, has kicked-off its FUZE 3.0 talent show to identified talents among Nigerian youths and promote their business.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, has kicked-off its FUZE 3.0 talent show to identified talents among Nigerian youths and promote their business.

The talent show is designed to hunt for Nigerian youths with exceptional talent in technology, innovation, fashion, music and dance with a reward of N50 million.

Speaking at the official kick-off of the show, Chief Executive, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, Olumide Oyetan, said the Fuze talent show has always been more than just a competition, but a catalyst for change, a celebration of creativity, resilience and aspirations.

He said the company engaged in the initiative to attract the young generation and change the narrative that pension is only for old people or retirees.

Oyetan stated this year’s theme: ‘Light it up’, encapsulates the show’s mission to illuminate and celebrate Nigerian youths’ boundless creativity and talent.

“Each season, we’ve witnessed this platform’s ability to uncover, foster, and propel young talents into the spotlight; giving rise to new stars who now shine across the realms of music, dance, fashion, and technology”, he said.

The company used the forum to unveil the panel of judges which includes; Akinwande Akinsulire, the Director of Engineering at Co-Creation Hub (CcHub); Funke Adepoju, a celebrated Nigerian fashion designer and founder, Funke Adepoju Couture, and Korede Bello, an award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter.

Executive Director, Business Development, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, Nike Bajomo, urged the youths to use their talents credibly to start a business that would create job opportunities. She said by nurturing talents, the company is contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s creative economy.

She said the substantial increase in prize money to N50 million underscores Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers’ commitment to providing life-changing opportunities for young Nigerians.
