Carnival Calabar, South African tourism, Ethiopian Airlines for Accra Weizo

FOR those who have only seen the Carnival Calabar on T.V, Accra Weizo offers the Top players in tourism in West Africa the opportunity to have a firsthand glimpse of the biggest street party in Africa and the best tourism event in West Africa.

The Executive Governor of Cross River State Professor Ben Ayade who will be the Chairman of Weizo will be leading a high powered team from Calabar to Accra, Ghana for the one day event.

The Chairman of the Carnival Calabar Band Association Senator Florence Ita Giwa and the Chairman of the Carnival Calabar Gabe Onah will be in the delegation.
 
South African Tourism, the biggest destination in Africa with tourism receipt of about $13b will be displaying the best of South Africa at Accra Weizo. Africa’s Tourism power house with a West African regional office in Lagos will be presenting its huge repertoire of destinations at Weizo.

Joining these five star cast will be: Ethiopian Airline, Africa’s largest airline, the 18th most profitable airline in the world rated the 6th best airline in the world. It will also be showcasing at Weizo.

Ethiopian Airlines, a Star Alliance member flies to over 90 global destinations and 51stations in Africa. Just on the back of its new routes to Japan, Philippines, Ireland and Los Angeles, it has acquired 5 new B787 dreamliners adding to the 13 it already possesses.

Accra Weizo, 2015 taking place on the 3rd of July at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel Accra seeks to bring to fruition the dreams of former DG of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Agency, NCAA, Dr Harold Demuren who said in Abuja at the Bantaba event 2012 while receiving the award of Travel Personality of the year that West Africa should be single domestic Aviation Environment integrating, Safety regulations, Airline connections and airports. Dr. Demuren has since left NCAA but his vision for the seamless integration is still far from reality.
