The Masters Vessel Ministries Worldwide has instituted Master’s Scholarship and Skill Acquisition Fund (MSSAF) to help fund empowerment programme for indigent people.
This comes as the church awarded 20 indigent youths of school age with scholarships at its headquarters at Umuahia, Abia State capital.
The beneficiaries were selected from across the country’s Church branches.
About N700, 000 was disbursed to the first batch of the beneficiaries of the annual awards at a special church service held last Sunday.
Head of the Ministry, Pastor Amara Uwaeziozi said that the scholarship fund would be expanded to provide for public-spirited groups and individuals to contribute to the fund.
Chairman/Director of the Scholarship Board and an Evangelist in the Ministry, Elder Ernest Nwogu said that the scholarship was meant to address the immediate and critical needs of the applicants who were already in schools or learning skills.
Spokesperson of the beneficiaries and first year Education Psychology and Counselling student at the University of Port Harcourt, Miss Ibe Ota assured the Church that they would strive to justify the award by excelling in their studies.
