The Managing Director/CEO, Adeniyi Falade, in his opening remarks stated that the objectives of the forum was to update the retirees on the developments in the pension industry and share ideas on preparations required for life after retirement.

He told the elated retirees at the forum that the contributory pension scheme has been a huge success since it came into effect 10 years ago, adding that it had impacted positively on the lives of retirees.

He recalled the pathetic situation of pensioners in the old defined benefit system before the Contributory Pensions Scheme was introduced.

Falade reminded the retirees of the advantages of the new scheme as against what was previously obtainable.

Now, processing of benefits are seamless and retirees under the PRA 2014 now take their benefit as when due. He said the company has put everything in place to ensure that its Retirement Savings Account holders are properly assisted in planning for a peaceful retirement.

During the meeting, some retirees commended the management of CrusaderSterling Pensions Limited on the prompt payment of their pensions which is usually on or before the 24th of every month as specified by the National Pension Commission.
