Minister of State for Industry, John Enoh, and other stakeholders will be speaking at the West Africa Industrialisation, Manufacturing and Trade (IMT) Summit and Exhibition, where they will be highlighting strategies for transforming the industrial sector of the region.

The event, holding from October 21 to 23 at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, will bring together government officials, investors and industry leaders.

Confirmed speakers at the summit include Chairman, Dorman Long, Dr Timi Austen-Peters; Chief Executive Officer, Matta, Mudiaga Mowoe; Managing Director, Coleman Wires and Cables, George Onafowokan; Managing Director, Ikosh Nigeria Ltd, Olumuyiwa Kosofe and Regional Director – West Africa, NorFund, Naana Winful Fynn; CEO, Afriboarder, Lola Ekugo-Aworati.

By gathering decision-makers and innovators from across the region, the 2025 edition of West Africa IMT is expected to help align national reforms with regional strategies, moving beyond vision into practical action that enhances resilience, creates jobs and positions West Africa as a globally competitive manufacturing hub.

Experts have warned that West Africa stands at a critical juncture where abundant raw materials, rising demand for infrastructure and the promise of regional trade under the AfCFTA could trigger a rapid and sustainable industrial revolution, but inadequate infrastructure, unreliable power supply, limited access to affordable finance, and skills gaps continue to threaten the region’s industrial ambitions.

In response to these realities, the West Africa Industrialisation, Manufacturing and Trade (IMT) Summit and Exhibition will convene government officials, investors, and industry leaders from October 21–23, 2025, at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, to transform opportunities into action.

The summit will serve as a platform to accelerate industrialisation, expand intra-regional trade, and strengthen manufacturing ecosystems capable of generating jobs and boosting global competitiveness.

According to the organisers, the conversations are timely as policy actions and strategic investments are reshaping the region’s industrial landscape.

Speaking on expectations for the Lagos gathering, the Country Director – Nigeria and Portfolio Director – Energy for dmg Nigeria events, Wemimo Oyelana, stressed that the summit would connect the key players needed to drive transformation.

“From infrastructure development and reliable power for industries to access to affordable capital, our speakers represent the leaders driving transformation in policy, finance, and enterprise. Delegates should expect not only robust discussions but also opportunities to forge meaningful partnerships that can accelerate the region’s industrial future,” Oyelana said.
