Firm expands product offerings, pledges to remain consumer-centric
Committed to ensuring the production of innovative and result-driven consumer goods across the country, one of the world’s leading household and sanitary products manufacturers, Hayat Kimya, recently expanded its product offerings in Nigeria with two new products.
At a press conference held in Lagos to unveil both products, the outgoing MD/GM, Hayat Kimya Nigeria, Doruk Emiroglu, said even though they are headquartered in Turkey, they have a global presence that is widening every day as they currently manufacture in 21 plants across the globe, including at their factory located in Ogun State.
Emiroglu added that they are proud of their Nigerian operations and firmly believe Nigeria is one of its biggest markets. “We have invested over 200 million dollars into our factory in Ogun and we also want to increase our employees from the over 1000, which we currently employ. This makes us proud because it shows we are dominating the market. We are very innovative and are always interested in what our consumers want. Our research shows that Nigerians want more eco-conscious and health-conscious products and we responded accordingly.”
He said that the post-pandemic shift to a hygienic, clean and healthy lifestyle necessitated the introduction of its eco-friendly baby diaper and sanitary pad, Bebem natural essence and Molped with anti-bacterial protection sanitary pad.
“The increasing demand by consumers for more sustainable lifestyle choices informed our decision to launch the natural essence baby diaper in the Nigerian market. The diaper, which is made with an extract from bamboo fibre and high-quality organic cotton extract, is eco-friendly and assures quality protection of the child.”
He also said that the new addition of Molped with antibacterial protection also emphasises its commitment to forward-thinking and solution-oriented products for its ever-increasing customers.
In the same vein, Marketing Manager, Bebem Diaper, Roseline Abaraonye, said the diaper is the first eco-friendly in the Nigerian market and is made from bamboo. She went on to add that they would continue to introduce innovative products into the Nigerian market in accordance with consumer demands.
“This is the first diaper made from bamboo and the first organic pad in the country. This is a huge investment in Nigeria and not only are we here to stay but we will continue to do our best to produce innovative products for Nigerians.” She added that feedback is very positive as both products are already available nationwide.
