FrontOffice has launched in Nigeria with a marketing capability platform designed to help startups, entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized businesses access professional marketing services without the cost of traditional agency retainers.
The company is positioning itself between two options that have traditionally dominated the market: agencies whose fees can be difficult for early-stage businesses to sustain and free or low-cost software tools that often require users to manage the marketing process themselves.
According to FrontOffice, many Nigerian startups and SMEs are therefore left without access to the level of design, messaging, performance marketing and strategic support required to compete effectively in an increasingly digital marketplace.
The company said its platform was created to address that gap by bringing several marketing functions together within a single system.
“Marketing capability shouldn’t be something only large companies can afford,” said Kenny Akinkumi, Head of Product at FrontOffice.
“We built FrontOffice so that a five-person team can put out work that holds up against a 30-person agency.”
FrontOffice describes its offering as a marketing capability stack combining design, copywriting, performance-tracked marketing, insights, production support and strategic guidance.
Rather than requiring businesses to hire separate specialists for design, content and media buying or commit to a traditional agency retainer, the platform is designed to provide these capabilities as an integrated service.
The launch comes as Nigerian businesses increasingly compete for consumers who discover and evaluate products and services online.
DataReportal’s recent figures indicate that more than 100 million people in Nigeria use the internet, creating a large digital audience for businesses seeking to attract new customers.
FrontOffice argues, however, that access to customers does not automatically translate into sales. Businesses also need credible branding, clear messaging and the ability to measure and improve their marketing campaigns.
The company also points to the financial pressure facing small businesses, arguing that ineffective marketing can result in businesses spending money without being able to determine which campaigns, messages or channels are producing results.
“For a business trying to grow, marketing capability can no longer be something to build toward eventually. It must be available from day one,” the company said.
FrontOffice said rising advertising costs have further increased the importance of performance tracking and optimisation, particularly for startups and SMEs operating with limited marketing budgets.
The company believes businesses that establish professional marketing systems early in their growth are better positioned to build recognisable brands and compete within their respective markets.
Its launch therefore represents a broader attempt to make professional marketing support more accessible to Nigerian businesses that may not yet have the resources to maintain a large in-house marketing team or agency relationship.
FrontOffice is now available to Nigerian startups, entrepreneurs and SMEs seeking integrated marketing support. More information is available through the company’s website.
