Chairman of the Ogun-Guangdong Free Trade Zone (OGFTZ), Dr Hafsat Oduwole Balewa, on Thursday met President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, alongside Islamic leader Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman.

Sheikh Usman, the eldest son of the late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, was part of the delegation received by the President.

According to a statement issued by the official media team of Sheikh Usman, the meeting focused on issues of national importance, including peace, unity, economic growth and sustainable development.

The statement said the engagement provided an opportunity to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening national cohesion, promoting inclusive development and improving the well-being of Nigerians.

Balewa, an investment promotion advocate, heads the Ogun-Guangdong Free Trade Zone, one of Africa’s leading special economic zones, where she has championed industrialisation, foreign investment and job creation.

The statement added that President Tinubu, Balewa and Sheikh Usman exchanged views on fostering inclusive economic growth, national unity and sustainable development, while reaffirming the importance of dialogue and collaboration in advancing Nigeria’s development priorities.

It said the meeting reflected the Federal Government’s continued engagement with leaders from the investment and religious communities in pursuit of national stability and economic progress.

The meeting ended with the participants reaffirming their commitment to a peaceful, united and prosperous Nigeria.
