KADCCIMA holds fair next month

The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) has stated that its upcoming trade fair will help to address issues of international competitiveness in the agricultural and industrial sectors.

The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) has stated that its upcoming trade fair will help to address issues of international competitiveness in the agricultural and industrial sectors.

Indeed, the chamber also assured exhibitors and visitors of adequate security at the 39th edition of the Kaduna International Trade Fair billed for next month.

President of KADCCIMA, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka while addressing journalists recently, said that the Kaduna State Government and KADCCIMA were collaborating to ensure that security was adequate throughout the State and at the fair ground.

“The issue of security is a national issue but in Kaduna State, the Governor has declared a state of emergency on security in the State. We have been working very closely with the government to make sure that security at the fair is tight,” she said.

Scheduled to hold between February 24 and March, 3 2018 Dankaka disclosed that the theme of the 39th edition of the fair was “Promoting Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for International Competitiveness”.

The theme, she said, chosen to complement the efforts of the government towards revamping the economy to drive investments in agriculture, manufacturing, trade, services and technologies.

According to her, as part of their preparations for the fair, the chamber had made extensive contact with industrialists, manufacturers, producers, fabricators, distributors and marketers, both within and outside the country to come and participate at this year’s Africa’s most famous fair.

“On the side of participants and visitors to the fair, Kaduna chamber of commerce is envisaging a large turnout from both local and international participants. So far, we have some companies from countries like Turkey, Pakistan, India, Kenya, Egypt, Thailand, Iran, Niger Republic and Peoples Republic of China who have indicated keen interest to participate” she said.

The 2nd Deputy President and Chairman, KITF, Main Organising Committee‎, Suleiman Aliyu, said the theme was deliberately chosen to reckon with current realities and intends to appreciate and compliment government’s efforts towards restructuring of the Nigerian economy.

According to him, preparations for the 39th edition of the Kaduna international trade fair (KITF) have reached advance stage, maintaining that the fair as usual, would attract both ‎local and international participants, contacts with investors, manufacturers, marketers and distributors within and outside the country.He pointed out that the chamber is in close contact with all relevant ministries, department and agencies (MDAs) at the Federal and State levels‎.
