Maltina, one of Nigeria’s leading malt drinks, has unveiled new 25cl and 50cl PET bottle variants as part of its 2025 Back-to-School campaign, themed “Nourishment Fit for You.” The launch, held on Thursday, 28 August, at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, signals the brand’s renewed focus on supporting students and celebrating teachers across the country.
The 25cl PET bottle is designed specifically for children, offering a convenient size for lunchboxes and snack breaks while delivering the same signature Maltina taste and essential nutrients.
The 50cl variant, 20% larger than the 33cl bottle, caters to families and young people seeking greater value without compromising on quality.
Speaking at the launch, Sarah Agha, Marketing Director at Nigerian Breweries Plc, highlighted the brand’s long-standing commitment to nourishment and community impact.
“For over 49 years, Maltina has been more than just a drink. It has been about sharing happiness, building moments, and fueling togetherness across generations,” she said.
Agha explained that the new PET variants are part of Maltina’s strategy to make nourishment accessible to all lifestyles.
“Each one delivers true nourishment, and beyond innovation on shelves, we are expanding nourishment into communities. Through our Back-to-School tour, we are pledging to reach one million students nationwide, continuing a legacy of impact that also lives in initiatives like the Maltina Teacher of the Year.”
Elohor Olumide-Awe, Portfolio Manager for Non-Alcoholic Drinks at Nigerian Breweries Plc, added that the new bottles are designed to meet the nutritional and practical needs of children and families.
“The 25cl provides children with the nourishment they need to excel in school, while the 50cl offers families and young people more of the Maltina they love. In furtherance of our commitment to impact, this school season, we will nourish one million students across Nigeria, ensuring they start the term energised and motivated to succeed.”
The 2024 Maltina Teacher of the Year, Esomnofu Chidiebube, praised the initiative for its dual focus on students and educators.
“As a teacher, nothing gives me greater joy than seeing a brand like Maltina commit not only to nourishing students but also to celebrating educators. Effective learning cannot happen without proper nourishment, and this campaign shows a clear understanding of the foundation of our future: healthy children who are ready to learn, and teachers empowered to guide them,” Chidiebube said.
