Adelakun, other urges govt, students on right choices
The Chancellor of Dominion University (DU), Ibadan, Bishop Victor Adelakun and General Overseer of The Calvary Bible Church, Dr. Olumide Emmanuel have called on the nation’s leaders to make the right choices to put the country on the path of progress.
The clerics stated that making the right choices would make Nigeria one of the best countries in the world. They emphasised the need for the leaders to raise generational leaders, and have an entrepreneurial mindset.
The duo spoke during the fifth matriculation ceremony of Dominion University, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Specifically, Adelakun, while charging the students urged them to get serious about their lives, saying life is not run on wishes but on choices. He said, “Nigeria is what it is today because of corruption in leadership and lack of understanding in leadership. For us to change this country, we must raise generational leaders. Our nation will be better when we make the right choices. God is ready to do great things in Nigeria.”
Speaking on the theme, ‘The Entrepreneurial Mindset: Cultivating Skills for Success,’ Emmanuel, who was the guest lecturer said, “Entrepreneurship is the solution to many problems in Nigeria and Africa. It is the solution to unemployment. It is the solution to poverty. It is the solution to complaints.
“People steal because they are not sure of tomorrow. People steal because they are confused. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, we will raise a new breed of leaders with the right skill set.”
Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abel Olorunnisola urged the students to manage their time very well, associate with the right people, and explore possibilities.
Olorunnisola disclosed that a total of 215 students have been admitted into 13 academic programmes in the Faculties of Arts, Social and Management Sciences, and the Faculty of Computing and Applied Sciences as well as the Foundation programme.

This write-up smirk of Brown Envelope Journalism. Since when did the acquisition took place for it to make inferences on its plus?. Besides its not the only bank that merge or made acquisition, and certainly its not the only bank stock recently on the tear.
And I was more disappointed that this journalist, for all his song of praise cannot tell what the bank’s ROI and ROA are in terms of numbers or percent, just merely stating they are upward. This at best is lazy journalism and at the least, a hatchet job to enrich his pocket by the banks management.
