NIMC claims its 10,000 enrolment centres working seamlessly

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has said that National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment, verification and authentication, modification of data and other services are going on seamlessly to meet the needs of Nigeria for the NIN-SIM linkage deadline.

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has said that National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment, verification and authentication, modification of data and other services are going on seamlessly to meet the needs of Nigeria for the NIN-SIM linkage deadline.

The Commission reiterated that all its over 10, 000 NIN enrolment centres across the country and in the diaspora are open for NIN enrolment, saying Nigerians and legal residents can visit any of the centres to enrol and be issued the NIN.

NIMC in a statement, yesterday, signed by its Head, Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke, assured Nigerians of a seamless process ahead of the September 14, 2024 deadline for the NIN-SIM linkage.

The Commission’s response is coming on the heels of complaints raised by subscribers in the last 10 days over their inability to complete the SIM-NIN process following their visits to mobile network operators’ outlets, where the NIN linkage server downturn has been reported lately.

NIMC informed Nigerians and legal residents that any applicant who wants to modify his or her NIN data can do so through the NIMC Self-Service portal – self- servicemodification.nimc.gov.ng (Terms and conditions apply)

Further, the Commission said NIN Holders and applicants can make inquiries on NIN enrolment centres, processes and procedures for NIN Data modifications, NIN Verification issues and any other inquiries,via- www.nimc.gov.ng.
NIMC reaffirmed its commitment to zero tolerance for all forms of extortion and unethical practices and that NIN enrolment is free, stressing that any Issues bothering on extortion of applicants or any form of unwholesome practices can be escalated to [email protected].
