The Securex conference, WACSS and the OSPA Awards, would hold from March 20-21, at the Landmark Centre, Lagos.

The conference, organised by Securex West Africa, would also feature various exhibitions. This was contained in a statement by the firm’s Senior Marketing Executive, Abby Cairns.

He said the forum would hold alongside the region’s leading exhibition, focusing the security, fire and safety industry.

Over 2,000 professionals and stakeholders from across sectors are expected to attend the conference.

Organisers have confirmed that the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Trust Fund, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, would open the show.

He would be supported by representatives from the Department of State Security (DSS), the National Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASMA).

According to the Regional Director, Afrocet Montgomery, George Pearson, which is key facilitators behind Securex West Africa:

“We are excited to welcome some of the most respected government security officials to open the 2018 edition of Securex West Africa. This year woul be pivotal for the security and safety market in Nigeria.

“We want to use the show to facilitate knowledge-sharing across the market to inspire business growth opportunities.”

These free-to-attend conferences would explore the latest security threats and opportunities facing the Nigerian market.

Among the keynote speakers are the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Security and Intelligence Mr. Kunle Ajanaku, Defence, Intelligence and Security Analyst, Tanwa Ashiru, and Oluwadamilare Hanson Olatunbi, from Risk Assessment Limited /Harvard Security.

Other individuals from key organisations, including the Institute of Security, the Ministry of Special Duties & Intergovernmental Agencies (AISSON), the Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, and the Nigerian Ports Authority would participate in the conference.
