SOUTH African AirwaysTHE South African Airways (SAA) has introduced a second entry point to Nigeria in its determination to boost trade and ease business travel between the country and further open up the West African region for more investments.

According to the airline, passengers can now fly directly from Abuja to Johannesburg. “No stopovers, no unnecessary connections, nothing to get between you and your business”, it noted.

The airline’s regional general manager for Africa and Middle East, Aaron Munetsi stated that the direct flight from Johannesburg to Abuja, will commence on January 26, 2016 with deployment of a modern Airbus 330-200s.

The airline, which already plies about 56 destinations, will operate three weekly non-stop flights between Johannesburg and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. “Abuja flights have been scheduled for seamless connectivity into SAA’s inter-continental route network to destinations such as Perth, Hong Kong and Sao Paulo”

With Abuja, SAA will be serving eight destinations in Central and West Africa with flights from its Johannesburg hub to Lagos, Abidjan, Cotonou, Accra, Douala, Dakar in Senegal and Libreville.

He added that SAA as a Premier Carrier in the continent with over 80 years since its existence had as one of its core mandate to develop its footprint in the continent where it takes Africa to the world and brings the world to Africa.
