Stakeholders to showcase opportunities at food, beverage fair
With the agricultural sector attracting increased investments, stakeholders in the food and beverage sector have concluded plans to hold a fair to showcase opportunities within the agribusiness value-chain.
Specifically, the stakeholders, through the Lagos Food and Beverage fair scheduled to commence today and end on Sunday, June 14, at the National stadium, Surulere, hope to enhance the potential of processed and packaged goods in the country.
In a statement made available to The Guardian, the organisers of the fair noted that this year’s fair is opened to different specialised sectors of the food and beverage industry as well as the economy.
“Africa is an emerging economy. The requirement of the population of this economy shows that it requires a lot of food. The influx of investors into the economy has brought more development in the manufacturing of processed and packaged products. Even though a lot of importation is being done, the fact remains that the food and beverage industry has a lot of potential.
