APM Terminals Apapa

APM Terminals Apapa has reaffirmed its commitment to community development and to investing in the welfare of its host communities.

The terminal operator donated critical medical equipment to the Ojora Olugbode Primary Health Centre in Apapa-Iganmu, Lagos State, to enhance laboratory diagnostics and improve the quality of care for community members.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of APM Terminals Nigeria, Frederik Klinke, said the initiative reflected the company’s long-standing responsibility to support the well-being of its host communities.

He said the company believed thriving communities are essential to sustainable business.

Klinke added that the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives extend beyond healthcare, supporting education through scholarships, empowering small businesses, particularly women, and promoting environmental sustainability through solar-powered installations across Apapa.

He noted that, as part of a global organisation with a deep heritage of serving societies, the company believes its responsibility extends well beyond the gates of the terminal.

Klinke emphasised that improving living standards, creating opportunities, and supporting the communities around the terminal are not add‑on activities, but are embedded in the company’s corporate DNA.

Medical Adviser to APM Terminals Nigeria, Dr Layi Ogunjobi, expressed pride in the company’s sustained investment in the health centre.

He stated that the company supported the Ojora Olugbode Primary Health Centre with infrastructure renovations to create a suitable environment for people to receive quality medical care.
