Lagos twinkles for Christmas
- Residents celebrate today, groan over fuel scarcity, high transport fares, food prices
THE metropolis is agog for Christmas. Yesterday, there was an explosive number of people on the road, at the markets, shops and fast food eatries, for the last-minute shopping.
On many major roads, there were open-air sales while Christmas carols boomed from loudspeakers. Corporate offices, homes and open spaces were decorated with Christmas trees and buntings.
