NIRP: Any hope for continuity under a new administration?
As part of the comprehensive structural economic reforms to strategically reposition the Nigerian economy for industrial revolution and sustainable growth, the federal government in 2014, officially unveiled the Nigeria Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP). The NIRP was designed to guide the implementation of innovative and positive industrial strategies to deepen and diversify the economy within and away from oil to industrial manufacturing and from import-dependent to an export-led, inclusive economy. Though still undergoing implementation, the emergence of a Buhari administration places doubt on the continuity of projects initiated by the previous administration. Will the NIRP survive continuity?
