TO all Ekiti sons and daughters, home in Ekiti State, in Nigeria and in the diaspora, no news is good news these days. One was born in Ado-Ekiti to parents who were from Oye-Ekiti and spent virtually all the teenage years in Ekiti. One still remembers the beautiful fertile land and the undulating hills, spanning Efon-Alaye to Omuo-Ekiti, from Moba to Ikere-Ekiti.

SIR: Over the years, the value of the naira has fallen faster than those Centuries old Nepalese temples struck by the recent earthquake. The naira has been bruised and battered, but despite all it has been through, it still stands tall in value compared to an average Nigerian in the Diaspora.

SIR: A floodgate of congratulatory messages has broken from the storm of tokenism. President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari may as a result of the swamp be relocated from his residence before he gets drowned. It is not an easy feat to win the presidential election in any country, more so, in Nigeria where the race is potent with fatal manifestations. Many Nigerians sincerely welcome the change Buhari represented in his campaign.
