But the postponement seems to have taken a toll on your party. How stressful has the postponement been to the party? The postponement has not stressed our capacity. It has not affected our finances because we where not throwing money around. If anything, the postponement has only bought us a little bit more time to deepen our messages, have a second look at our state of readiness and make sure everything is in order. It gave us more time to hold more Town Hall meetings, as you can see all over the place. It has given us more opportunity to interact with critical sectors of the economy, which we have been doing. Interestingly, it has also proved to expose the high caliber mischief of our rivals; especially to doubters.

Earlier in his remark, the spokesman for the forum and Director, Public Health in the Benue State Ministry of Health, Dr Joseph Kumba, said the new forum began with 4 member States last year and now has 11 member States.The States are Benue, Gombe, Kebbi, Adamawa, Bayelsa, Lagos, Enugu, Abia, Kano and Zamfara States.

When a politician is influenced by either the need to solicit contributions from special interests to finance a costly election campaign, or by a sense of obligation to benefactors, these critics argued that the politician might no longer represent the interests of his or her entire constituency.

Prof Tony Ogiamien, a scion of the ancient Ogiamien family in Benin, Edo State and former Dean of Faculty of Law, University of Benin (UNIBEN), now president of American Heritage University of Southern California, Ontario in the United States (US), spoke to The Guardian on the telephone shortly after a meeting of Nigerian Professionals Living in California at the library of the university why Nigerians should vote for President Goodluck Jonathan in next Saturday’s election, insisting that majority of Nigerians at the meeting gave Jonathan a pass mark and agreed that he should be allowed to continue in office for another four years.
