The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Heirs Energies, Osayande Igiehon, has said that as Africa navigates the challenges of energy security and sustainability, balancing traditional and renewable energy sources is key to a sustainable future.

He stressed the need for a harmonized approach that leverages the strengths of each to address the continent’s unique needs.

Igiehon said these while speaking on the topic “Navigating Nigeria’s Energy Future” at the recently held African Energy Week (AEW) 2024 in Cape Town, South Africa.

He articulated a bold vision for indigenous energy companies’ role in Africa’s energy transformation while explaining how Heirs Energies’ integrated approach is reshaping industry standards and advancing the continent’s energy security agenda.

Igiehon said, “Our success in revitalizing mature assets while pioneering sustainable practices proves that African companies can lead the global energy transition. We are not just participating in the industry’s evolution; we are driving it.”

He revealed some strategic visions for the company, unveiling the proprietary Brown Field Engineering (BFE) approach, which has achieved an unprecedented 110% production increase in mature assets, setting new industry standards for field optimization.

He further noted that the energy company is creating innovative strategies that seamlessly integrate hydrocarbon expertise with renewable technologies, creating a blueprint for Africa’s energy transition.
