NERC, YEDC unveil forum to address consumers’ complaints
The Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) and the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) have launched a new forum office in Yobe to address challenges facing consumers.
The move, aiming to address vandalism, is expected to sensitise customers and stakeholders about recent developments in the sector.
The development would enable customers to channel their complaints to the forum if their concerns are unresolved while providing alternative contacts for faster resolution of complaints.
Regional Manager of YEDC in Yobe, Ibrahim Salisu, who spoke at the event, said the company remained committed to its customers, adding the company would work diligently to promptly address and resolve customer complaints.
The event brought together representatives from various sectors, including the Military, Paramilitary, Civil Society, and Industrialists underscoring the importance of collaboration in ensuring efficient electricity distribution and customer satisfaction.
NERC Representative at the event, Bashir Shuaibu Adam, highlighted that the NERC Forum operates independently and neutrally, serving as a reliable avenue for customers to seek justice when their complaints remain unresolved by YEDC.
