OnshoreAs the stakeholders in the oil and gas sector gather at the 22nd Africa Oil Week/Africa Upstream Conference in South Africa, Chief Executive Officer, Dreg Waters Petroleum and Logistics Limited, Damilola Owolabi, has stressed the need for Nigeria to fast track the approvals of licenses and permits to foster growth in the sector.

Besides, she noted that the African continent must look forward to value-addition services to survive in the face of dwindling crude oil prices.

Speaking at the on-going conference in Cape Town, South Africa, Owolabi stressed that the sector must focus on delivering services that would further promote oil and gas business in the continent.

She said: “My firm is privileged to participate fully in an event of such global reputation alongside several industry giants across the globe. It is glaring from recent development in the sector that only value-addition services can make Africa measure up in the global market.

“In line with our vision to deliver only benchmark value-adding business services in the onshore, offshore and marine industries in Nigeria, being actively participative in an event as this with multiple prospects is a necessity for us and a step in the right direction.”

She explained that her clients had relied on her organization to offer timely delivery of licenses and permits, adding that: “Nigeria needs the right documentation and timely approvals of licences and permits in the petroleum, water dredging and logistics industry, and we are committed to make business more swifter for the sector,”
