APC betrays public trust, plunges families into hopelessness — ADC

The Ebonyi State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Saturday accused the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) of betraying the people’s trust and plunging families into hopelessness, saying that ADC will win convincingly in the 2027 general election.

She stated this during the inaugural meeting of Ebonyi Coalition Leaders held at Citi Hub, Abakaliki, in which members from the People Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and even disenchanted APC members declared allegiance to ADC, hailing it as the only credible vehicle to reclaim power and rescue Nigerians from “excruciating hardship.”

She noted that ADC has emerged as the arrowhead of an opposition coalition determined to end what it described as APC’s one-party dictatorship in 2027, telling Nigerians to join the party.

The ADC State Chairman, electrifying the audience with her speech, declared that “our people are suffering and our future is under siege, but together we will take back Ebonyi and Nigeria,” maintaining that ADC is the platform of liberation.

“Our vision is clear. We will build a prosperous Ebonyi State where every child can go to school, every family can afford healthcare, and every citizen has a fair chance at life. APC has had its chance and failed. It is time for a new order. ADC is the platform of liberation,” she noted.

Adibe-Nwafor urged stakeholders across party lines to collapse their structures into ADC, stressing that the party is inclusive, transparent, and accountable to the people.

“Join ADC. Register with us, attend our activities, and spread the word. Together we will dismantle the structures of oppression and deliver a government that truly serves Ebonyians,” she charged.

Former PDP senatorial candidate, Barr. Silas Onu, blasted the APC broom logo as “the weapon of witches,” saying that families now survive on burial levies and WhatsApp contributions.

“Why should any sane Nigerian still wave a broom that witches use to fly? APC has reduced Nigerians to beggars,” he said.

ADC National Vice Chairman (South-East), Fred Onwe, said the party’s grassroots strength and inclusivity made it unstoppable.

“ADC accommodates everyone from the village square to the national stage. That’s why this coalition will sweep Ebonyi,” he declared.

Heavyweights including Engr. Fidelis Nwankwo and Dr. Sunday Opoke, among others, lent their voices, warning APC that its dominance was collapsing under the weight of a united opposition.

Although leaders described Saturday’s meeting as merely introductory, they hinted at a forthcoming grand unveiling rally that would “shake the political ground” in Ebonyi.
