ADI counsels children on good morals, leadership
African Development Initiative (ADI), a Lagos-based Non-Governmental Organisation in collaboration with Viju Milk recently organised one-day leadership development training for school pupils in Lagos.
The programme, held under the auspices of African Values Education Children Club (AVEC), was aimed at inculcating right values in children to prepare them for future leadership role.
Secretary to the organisation, Mr. Ben Morah, said children, as great heritage need to be inculcated with sound moral values at young age so that when they grow up they will not depart from the discipline.
The Director of ADI, ABC Obiukwu, an engineer, explained that the ADI was established to help transform and empower children and individuals, as well as promote socio-economic and human capacity development.
According to him, the organization is involved in the conduct of innovative research, documentation, advocacy, mentorship and training to provide solutions for African underdevelopment challenges.
