Joseph Briggs, a veteran publicist and music industry expert, has made tremendous strides in connecting Grammy Award-winning artists to their fans in Nigeria. Having represented prominent artists such as CeCe Winans, Marvin Sapp, JJ Hairston, Travis Greene, and Jonathan McReynolds, Briggs is now a key connector for American gospel celebrities and their growing fan base in Africa.

Being the proprietor of J.B. Entertainment International, Briggs has received various awards for his efforts in the music business. He was recognized as the Best Music Manager at Maranatha Awards in Kenya in 2020 and received the Media Choice Award at Gospel Touch Awards in the UK in 2021. His versatile skill set comprises being a gifted songwriter, artist manager, music consultant, record label executive (A&R), top music promoter, event planner, publicist, and inspirational speaker.

A graduate of the Cape Coast University in Accra, Ghana, in Business Management, Briggs has collaborated with myriad Nigerian and Ghanaian artists like Nosa, Moses Bliss, Eben, Tim Godfrey, Freke Umoh, MC Abbey, Joe Mettle, Cwesi Oteng, KODA, Ohemaa Mercy, Pastor Edwin Dadson, and Pastor Helen Yawson. His networks have assisted a lot of producers and artists in pushing through to leave their signatures in the market.

Most notably, under his leadership, Dr. Roy won the Best Producer in Africa award for his production of “Excess Love” by Mercy Chinwo, and Skerz Beatz won the Afro Gospel Music Producer at the Beatz Awards for the hit song “Chinedum.” Afy Douglas also won the Best Male Vocalist in Africa award at the Africa Gospel Music Awards for his production of the hit song “Saviour.”

In his own professional journey, Joseph Briggs released his debut single, “Giver of Good Things,” in June 2021, and his debut album, “Helper of Men,” in 2023, with 20 tracks. His dedication to building talent and expanding the reach of gospel music continues influencing the industry, building bridges that echo across continents.
