Aptech continues to empower the students virtually despite the pandemic

The world has witnessed the ‘Great Pause’ this year. Whilst the ongoing pandemic COVID19 resulted in a nation-wide lockdown across the globe, shutting centres and coaching classes, Aptech strongly believed that ‘Learning has no lockdown’ and therefore incepted a virtual training model with online classes in various countries.

Through the virtual training, the students were able to continue their studies from the safety of their homes. From class lectures to projects, assignments and exams; all were seamlessly conducted through the virtual medium, comprising of over 100,000+ hours of online sessions.
In order to engage the students along with the online learning, Aptech launched Techtrons – A global tech competition for Aptech Computer Education students and Creative Challengers – The ultimate creative showdown for Arena Multimedia students.

Techtrons – The Ultimate Global Tech Challenge
Techtrons is a ‘Fastest Finger First competition’ and the participant could take part in this online challenge from anywhere across the globe and with any device – laptop or mobile. Techtrons made for a fun-filled competitive challenge that is gamified, real-time and enhances learning for the students of Aptech Computer Education. In the quiz, participants were not only supposed to answer correctly but also quickly & faster than the other competitors to earn maximum points and stay ahead. The quiz was divided into stages which were intended to create excitement and engage the participants over a couple of weeks.

A student participant from Nigeria, Mr Ogunkanmi Mofeowula Olanrewaju was one of the Top 10 scorers among the thousands of students who participated in the global competition, said, “I was extremely excited to participate in the global tech quiz – Techtrons. It made learning fun and the spirit of healthy competition was amazing. I feel such initiatives should be conducted regularly”, affirmed the student.

Key Highlights of Techtrons
Over 5,400 students from over 15 countries participated in Techtrons, making it a huge success.
9,600 quizzes were attempted over a period of 15 days
192,000 questions were answered in totality
Over 250 winners were recognized and awarded

Creative Challengers – The Global Creative Showdown
Creative Challengers, an exciting global competition for students of Arena Multimedia. This competition tests the creative skills of the students across six categories like Graphic Designing, Sketching, Digital Painting, Mobile Photography, Design Visualization and 3D Asset.
Creative Challengers competition aimed at the skill enhancement of the students; hence mentoring became a very integral part. Exclusive Master Classes were conducted for each category by Industry experts from the respective domains. These MasterClasses not only covered the topics on how to level up the artworks creatively but also the latest trends and tools used by the industry.

Ms. Juliet Godwin Chinaza, a student participant from Nigeria, received the 3rd rank in Graphics award category, from hundreds of students who participated in the global competition.

In the Viewers Choice award category, Nigerian students Mr. Okoruwe Daniel & Mr. Chukwudume Chinedu Gift were among the winners in the sketching & graphics category respectively.

Over 750+ students participated from 9 countries.
200+ hours of creative work were completed successfully
30 winners were recognized across categories
Viewers Choice awards were introduced, where the students work was voted & appreciated by global audience
