President Muhammadu Buhari has commended the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka, Prof. Joseph Eberendu Ahaneku, the Governing Council and the Management team for maintaining relative peace and a stable academic calendar in past years.  
 
Buhari, who gave the commendation in a congratulatory message during the university’s 12th convocation ceremony in Awka at the weekend, said this could be achieved, even in the face of occasional hiccups arising from national industrial actions by various staff unions.

He assured of continued cooperation and assistance in the effort to realise NAU’s visions.
 
At the ceremony, graduating students were awarded over 7,731 degrees and certificates.
